CONSULTATIONS

  • If you are preparing for ostomy surgery, we offer pre-operative education to help you understand what to expect. This includes an introduction to ostomy products, basic care concepts, and practical guidance to reduce anxiety and support a smoother transition after surgery.

  • Following surgery or hospital discharge, we provide hands-on education, appliance fitting, and skin and stoma assessment. We work with you to select and fit appropriate ostomy products, helping you safely adjust to daily care and prevent early complications.

  • Ostomy care is not one-size-fits-all. We assess your stoma, skin, body contours, and lifestyle to recommend the most appropriate products for you. As your needs change, we reassess and adjust your supplies. All recommendations are guided by NSWOC professional standards, and only necessary, appropriate products are supplied through our clinic.

  • As your body, stoma, and lifestyle evolve, we continue to provide follow-up care, reassessment, and education. This includes reviewing product performance, addressing concerns such as leaks or skin irritation, and making adjustments to support long-term independence.
